No seguimento do sucesso da edição de 2015, onde participaram cerca de 600 ciclistas, maioritariamente Portugueses mas também de países como o Brasil, Itália, Inglaterra e Estados Unidos, o Arrábida Granfondo regressa a Palmela no dia 2 de Outubro.
No seguimento do sucesso da edição de 2015, onde participaram cerca de 600 ciclistas, maioritariamente Portugueses mas também de países como o Brasil, Itália, Inglaterra e Estados Unidos, o Arrábida Granfondo regressa a Palmela no dia 2 de Outubro.
Num formato diferente do ano anterior, contará apenas com uma distância, com cerca de 130km e 2000m de acumulado positivo, com partida e chegada no castelo de Palmela. Com um cariz marcadamente competitivo, o Granfondo da Arrábida é uma prova desenhada a pensar no ciclista amador competitivo, mas com condições para receber todos os praticantes e aficionados do ciclismo, independentemente do seu nível.
O percurso, na sua fase inicial, desenrola-se pela zona interior do concelho de Palmela, por entre as famosas vinhas da região para, na metade final, enfrentar a Serra da Arrábida com o Prémio de Montanha a ser disputado no alto da subida do Convento da Arrábida. Com a aproximação à meta, os ciclistas terão que enfrentar a subida que ficou conhecida na primeira edição como o ‘’Muro’’ e nos últimos três quilometros até á linha de meta a dura ascenção ao castelo da Vila de Palmela em pavê.
A prova é organizada pela Lima & Limão Cycling Services, com o apoio da Câmara Municipal de Palmela.
As inscrições para o Granfondo da Arrábida estão abertas, e podem ser feitas aqui. Estão limitadas a 700 participantes. Brevemente traremos novidades, fiquem atentos!
RED is pleased to announce that we will be media partners of Arrábida Granfondo for this 2016 year!
Following the successful 2015 edition, attended by 600 cyclists, mainly Portuguese but also from countries such as Brazil, Italy, England and the United States, the Arrábida Granfondo returns to Palmela on October 2th.
In a different format from the previous year, only with a distance of about 130km and 2000m of positive accumulated, with departure and arrival at the castle of Palmela. With a markedly competitive nature, the Granfondo Arrábida is designed for the competitive amateur cyclist, but with conditions to receive all practitioners and cycling fans, regardless of their level.
The course, in its early stages, unfolds the inner area of the municipality of Palmela, through the famous vineyards of the region to, in the final half, facing the Serra da Arrábida, with the Mountain Award to be held on top of the climb Convento da Arrábida. With the approach of the final goal, cyclists will have to face the climb that was known in the first edition as the ” wall ” and in the last three kilometers until the finish line the hard rise to the castle of Palmela village in pavé.
The event is organized by Lima & Limão Cycling Services with the support of the Municipality of Palmela .
