The Eroica concept is an invitation to rediscover beauty in fatigue and the thrill of conquest, teleporting us on a journey into the past through this spectacular sport that is cycling.
Eroica Caffè Barcelona in the Example district, was the first physical space to mirror this concept, following various events around the world. A concept in which both cyclist and bicycle have to embody the beginnings of modern cycling, it is a return to the origins where brute force and suffering made the cyclist, far from today where technology is the main factor.
This 1920s-style cycle café saw the light of day through Graciela and Miguel, two passionate about the sport who, when creating this space, wanted it to be for both a user who is just passing by to drink a coffee and one who wants to be seated enjoying beautiful Italian cuisine, reading a good book or simply working surrounded by a relaxed atmosphere.
In addition to a very complete Italian cuisine menu, Eroica Caffè Barcelona has an ideal lower floor for all types of events, as long as they are alined with the essence of the space.
Personally I think it is a space where we must go with time… time to properly appreciate all the memorabilia, all the spirit that surrounds this fabulous Eroica concept.
As a final note let me say that I was full of desire to participate in a next Eroica, especially after knowing that even if I don’t have a bicycle with the required age characteristics, i just have to send an email to Eroica Caffè Barcelona and they provide one of their one… they will do everything so that everyone can experience the Eroica style.
