Fabian Cancellara, um dos mais reputados ciclistas profissionais dos últimos tempos, conhecido no pelotão pela alcunha de Spartacus, viu a sua bicicleta Trek Domane SLR preta, que utilizou na prova Tour de Flandres, em abril do ano passado, ser leiloada por mais de 16 mil euros, na Catawiki, plataforma de leilões na Internet.
A bicicleta do famoso ciclista suíço, que originariamente estava valorizada entre 4 mil e 8 mil euros, acabou por ser leiloada na plataforma por 16.100 euros: “Fabian Cancellara é um dos melhores ciclistas de todos os tempos. Antes de terminar a sua carreira, conquistou a medalha de ouro no contra-relógio individual nos Jogos Olímpicos do Rio de Janeiro, a sua última corrida. Nesse sentido, era expectável que houvesse um grande interesse na sua bicicleta, que lhe negou o primeiro lugar na sua última Tour de Flandres. Ainda assim, este valor superou muito as expectativas iniciais dos nossos especialistas”, refere Alejandro Sanchez, Diretor-geral da Catawiki em Portugal.
Após a sua última prova, Fabian Cancellara decidiu doar a sua bicicleta para um concurso de televisão belga, com o objetivo de angariar dinheiro para uma causa social, e através do qual o atual proprietário decidiu leiloá-la agora na Catawiki.
Esta bicicleta foi criada especialmente para Cancellara concorrer na última prova da competição belga, e que tinha ganho anteriormente três vezes (em 2010, 2013 e 2014). Encontrava-se em perfeitas condições, tinha gravada as três vitórias obtidas pelo ciclista na prova e ainda o número de dorsal da última prova sob o assento.
“Todas estas particularidades fizeram deste um momento único, com um objeto muito desejado pelos fãs de um dos mais reputados ciclistas de toda a história. O interesse no leilão foi crescendo com o passar dos dias e contámos com mais de 50 licitações de várias partes do mundo, o que explica o valor final”, explica ainda o Diretor-geral da Catawiki.

It was in perfect condition, and had engraved the three victories obtained by the cyclist in the race and still the number of dorsal of the last race under the seat.
“All these particularities have made this a unique moment, with an object much desired by fans of one of the most renowned cyclists in history.
