Nas corridas de obstáculos superação é a palavra de ordem! Compreendendo distâncias, em média, entre os 5 e 21km, colocam aos participantes, vários desafios físicos e mentais. Aqui pretende-se testar os limites dos participantes, com obstáculos, que são muitas vezes equiparados a treino militar e incluem paredes altas, túneis, rastejar, barras paralelas e são conhecidos por incluírem água e lama.
É este o contexto em que se realiza a Spartan Race, e é já no próximo dia 29 de Maio que se realiza a próxima edição, em Madrid. Espanha entrou no Spartan em 2014, sendo precisamente em Madrid que se realizou a primeira edição. Seguiram-se Barcelona e Valência. Na última edição, em Maio de 2015, bateram-se todos os recordes havendo cerca de 12 mil inscritos!
A prova realiza-se desde 2010, e começou no estado norte-americano de Vermont. Desde então, já se estendeu a mais de 60 países, havendo até um ranking internacional de atletas e um campeonato do mundo anual da Spartan Race.
Portugal ainda não teve a sua edição, mas temos esperança que chegue a terras Lusas em breve! Quanto a Madrid, vamos ter uma representação RED, com o nosso Personal Trainer Pedro Pascoal, que vai participar. Vamos torcer por ele?
Overcoming is the word to define obstacles racing! With distances from 5 to 21km, ir presents various physical and mental challenges.
